Grassroots effort at a school and a M$ Salesguy

Posted June 17, 2005

Helios is involved in a grassroots effort to get the local middle school off of Windows, or at least off of M$ Office. He blogged about it here: http://lobby4linux.com/WordPress/?p=18.

Short story: in walks the M$ sales guy looking to get them signed up again and hears about the school considering a open sourced solution. Time for FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) mode!

Typical sales guy. This isn’t unique to M$. I would say that most sales guys engage in this same pracice. Still … hitting below the belt is never nice.
