REALbasic for Linux now shipping
For your consideration, REALbasic for Linux is now shipping. http://www.realsoftware.com/news/pr/2005/2005r3/lnx/
REALbasic is now available for Windows, Mac and Linux. REALbasic standard for Linux: Free REALbasic professional for Linux: $400 (This one has the good stuff in it.) Not open source Allows for royalty-free software distribution, just like VFP. The Professional version allows for connecting to MySQL and PostgreSQL (Leland!). Compatible with Novell Linux Desktop and Red Hat Desktop. (I imagine that it would work with Debian based distributions such as Ubuntu and MEPIS with the appropriate GTK+ and glibc?)
I can't believe that I would consider a Basic development tool after all of these years of Fox development. Sigh. Perhaps I should kick the tires and take it out for a spin.
